This has been one of the finest values in top-notch Barossa Shiraz for 20+ years now, always reflecting the character of its place and vintage plus the essence of current Barossa style. Which, today, is more focused and fresh than during the big Aussie Shiraz boom of 20 years ago. Plenty of dark, rich, black fruit but with nicely integrated oak spice and a bit of varietal smoked meat and black olive complexity. Steak wine.
For You If: You're looking for a big wine - in terms of texture, flavors and intensity - that doesn't turn jammy or sweet; you want a wine that goes from grill-side to table with aplomb; you like a savory note to your big-fruited reds.
Not For You If: You're after subtlty - this is overtly delicious; you're lookig for something smooth - here the tannins are part of the fun.
