When Paul Direder first stood in front of our tasting bar and poured his inaugural, 2008 vintage, Paul D Grüner for us, he was just 17 years old – too young to even taste it with us! Eight years and vintages later, Paul has grown as a farmer and a winemaker, but the youthful vigor and charm that captured our hearts from the first still shines through in his brilliant, staggering value, 2018 Grüner Veltliner.
Paul D Grüner offers just a little bit more of everything you love in a summertime white, including 33% more wine in the party-friendly 1.0 liter bottle. Twist the top off, pour a cold glass, and as the condensation forms you’ll be rewarded with refreshing aromas of green apple, fresh peach, and orange-tinged citrus. Take a good mouthful – no need to just sip at this price! – and you’ll love how the ripe apple, pear, and pineapple fruit gets lifted across your palate by a faint accent of spicy ginger.
