The Lauverjats have been farmers in the Loire for generations but have only recently begun to bottle under their own label. The vines for this Sancerre come from a selection of their best holdings and have an average age of thirty years. If I were going to introduce someone to Sancerre this would be the wine. It has all the hallmarks that you look for. Fresh citrus higlighted by pink grapefruit and a toch of melon. It is fresh and bright yet round and approachable. Good as an apperitif or with light dishes.
