The Bichot family traces its roots in Burgundy back to 1350. In 1831, Bernard Bichot founded a merchant house bearing his name in Monthélie, and at the end of the 19th century his grand-son Albert Bichot installed its headquarters in Beaune. The family heritage has been perpetuated from father to son since then with the company today being run by Albéric Bichot who represents the sixth generation managing the company. Their entry-level Mâcon-Villages is a classic white Burgundy, very fresh with tangy citrus notes and a good body.
